The College of Emerging Sciences is KVELL’s answer to where science is headed, not where it has been. Built for a generation of learners entering fields that barely existed a decade ago, the college offers focused undergraduate, postgraduate & integrated programmes across nano science, regenerative medicine, cytogenetics, cardiac & renal technology, AI-driven agriculture & medical science, and sustainable development. Each programme is designed with flexible exit options & a strong emphasis on applied, research-driven learning rather than theory alone. Positioned within Chennai’s growing biotech, healthcare & technology corridor, the college prepares students to enter specialized, high-demand roles from day one. It reflects KVELL’s larger belief: that emerging sciences aren’t a niche, they’re the foundation of India’s next scientific & healthcare workforce.
Karpaga Vinayaga Educational Trust
KVELL, Deemed to be University, is the latest milestone in a legacy that began in 1993 with the Karpaga Vinayaga Educational Trust, founded by Thiru. S. Regupathy with a vision to make quality education accessible & contribute to nation building. What started with the JJ College of Arts & Science in Pudukottai grew into a multidisciplinary group spanning engineering, medicine, dentistry, nursing & pharmacy, anchored by a 65 acre campus on GST Road, Chengalpattu.
Guided today by Managing Trustee and Chancellor Mrs. Saroja Regupathy & the Trust’s leadership, KVELL carries forward 25 years of academic discipline, ethical values & outcome-based learning. Recognized under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, KVELL now steps into its next chapter: building future-ready institutions rooted in research, innovation & service to society.
Dr. Annamalai Regupathy has had a long term vision which he held onto: that education could be built differently. Under his stewardship, it became a Deemed to be University, starting its journey with the College of Emerging Sciences.
